Our Story

After many years in the field of condition monitoring in the industry sector, Christoffer Eriksson, who was then the CEO of MLT Maskin & Laserteknik AB and is co-founder of Erinova Group, identified a strong need for a reliable wireless product for condition monitoring. There was no solution on the market that could meet the industry’s demands for quality, range, and user-friendliness. Together with his colleague, Senior engineer Mats Johansson, they began sketching out a concept, and slowly their ideas and prototypes transformed into a unique product platform. Their vision was to create something not only technically superior but also easy to use and easy to integrate with other systems.

The inventors had several principles they never compromised on:

The quality of the measurement data had to be highest level and completely unprocessed.
The range had to be as long as possible, with unmatched performance in environments with steel and concrete, using a minimal number of gateways.
All data must be integrable with external systems via open APIs and open to work with reliable AI platforms.
Long battery life, with easy user-replaceable batteries.
Quick and easy installation of sensors and gateways, simple enough for anyone to carry out.
Simultaneous measurements between sensors on the same machine, along with RPM and other sensors, to ensure the best analysis possibilities.
The product platform should be continuously complemented with various sensors to form a complete condition monitoring offering for machinery.

With these principles as a foundation, Pure Signal was launched in 2022, and its first product, pureMEMS, came to life. pureMEMS is a triaxial wireless vibration sensor with an extremely long range, accurate time signal measurements, and a replaceable battery. The sensor’s unique smart and sustainable horizontal design made it not only a technical marvel but also easy to mount correctly.

Since the start, Pure Signal has continued to develop in the same innovative spirit. Today, we are proud to have many satisfied customers and distributors across Europe who help us spread our technology and vision. The family of sensors has now grown to three, and the vision of a complete sensor family has taken shape under the name pureFamily—all with the strengths inherent in every pureSignal system.

Hi Mats Johansson, CTO at pureSignal!

- What is your main task with us?
I am responsible for the development of soft- and hardware of our products. My main task is prioritizing with our developers so that we can deliver quality products and services on time to our users around the world.

- What might a working day look like for you?
My workday always includes meetings together with our hardware and software supplier and our end customers. I set project plans to ensure and enable new functions and features to arrive/deliver on time. I also use calibration equipment to verify the quality of the products. The daily work also includes applying for certifications and work with main documentation.

- You have long experience in measurement technology and have extensive technical knowledge. Why do you think it is important?
Correct, I have been worked with measurement technology for more than 15 years and over the years much has happened and technologies within this field now changes fast. New technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) is for example something that we now want to adapt to. We also aim to integrate our products to other platforms and cloud solutions to make our products easy to adapt and use.

- What is the best thing about working at pureSignal?
pureSignal is a company that listen to customer needs. We have possibilities to adapt and customize features because we work so closely with our developers. I really like working in this environment where customer need drives our development. I also enjoy working with automation technology and connecting different systems in the best possible way, a perfect mix for me.

- Tell us something about yourself that you don't think we know!
I have completed Gothenburg half-marathon over 20 times (I started when we moved to Gothenburg and have attended almost every year since then).

- What is your main task with us?

I would say that my work at pureSignal is very varied as I am involved in a lot of the steps at the company.

If I have to narrow down my main tasks, I would say taking care of the main administrational bits like purchasing, logistics, invoicing, keeping check of our orders towards customers, setting up contracts and preparing production orders.

- What might a working day look like for you?
I usually start the day checking our different inboxes to see if there is something that needs to be handled. Then I probably would link up with the other members of the team to see what is next on the agenda and prioritize/plan the rest of the day. Later on, I will handle all the customer invoices and supplier invoices that need to be handled and secure that all the deliveries that are ready to be sent are prepared and booked for delivery.

- You are often in contact with our customers and distributors, what is most important in your dialogue with them?
What I believe is most important is to be available and ready to help if needed. At pureSignal we take pride in that we always try to be of assistance in all areas to our customers.

- What is the best thing about working at pureSignal?
What is most fun is the “can do” attitude at the company. When having this approach, you might get a lot of different and complex things on your plate, but it also gives you an opportunity to learn new things and grow.

- Tell us something about yourself that you don't think we know!
I used to play the trumpet when I was young. Not very well, but the neighbors at my parents can attest.
